Still in Portland, tick tock

Okay okay, sorry about all the product plugs. I guess I’m over-zealous because I’ve had limited internet access for a week and just spent the last 2 hours crawling around the web. Pathetic!!!! I guess I’ve also got a shopping buzz because I’ve been in about a zillion shops this week and have bought close to nothing. I’ll post more about my work once I get back home. And yes, I’m still in Portland. We’ve put in an application in for a house and are waiting to hear back. I hope it works out, because I will have quite a bit of studio space. Verrryyy exciting.

I am getting kinda antsy because I’ve been away from my work for about a week. All I have here is a sketchbook, some bristol paper, and my pencils. I have been doing a few drawings that I’ll scan when I get back to San Francisco. I’m also going to be releasing my Kristopher toys in the next few weeks, as well as begin work on the next toy after that. I’m going to be doing my best to keep things going throughout the moving process, though the next few weeks may be a bit sporadic. Once I get settled though, I’m gonna be on a ROLLLL because I’m gonna have more studio space than I’ve ever had, plus a proper workshop for toy casting and screen printing. So even though the year has gotten off to a slow start, I’m gonna make up for it. Scouts honor!

Soooo it’s almost 2am, my laptop battery is almost dead, and I’m expecting an early phone call. Time to go nitey nite. Wish me luck on the house!!!!!!

Another “goddamnit it sucks to be poor” pair of shoes. Spring/Summer 2009 ankle boots by Marc Jacobs. Available at The Corner if you have $440 bucks to drop on shoes. If you do, I think they’re tooooootally worth it. I’m trying to find an affordable alternative. Paylessssssss? Nooooooooooo

Okay, yeah these are out of the question for most people (If my converter is correct, they will cost you well over $700), but they’re reaaaally cool nonetheless. Available at Honeyee, if you’re made of money. [click here]

Revolver has some awesome stuff lined up. See the full collection at Hypebeast [permalink]. Here’s what I dig: The cut of these pants is AWESOME! Cheeseburgers are always cool. I like the lettering and crude vector quality:

I usually hate blazers, but have to say I love this one, espeeeeecially with that big ass green button. I didn’t even know buttons could be made that big. This is begging to be worn. Love love love!

Okay, so I wouldn’t wear these, but you have to admit they’re awesome. Many of the best designs are ones that make you go “Why didn’t I think of that?”

Though Vans are most popular with skaters (I don’t skate, I really suck at it), I wear their shoes. The Vans Vault has previews of all their upcoming shoes, but these two are the ones I’d consider getting.

And speaking of Keith Haring, I reaaaaaally want the new book published by Rizzoli. I saw it in SF MOMA, and it rocks. You can buy it for me here.

One of my heros, Keith Haring, died 19 years ago today. This drawing I did in the hotel the other night kind of reminded me of him.
