Topman A/W 2009

| August 21st, 2009

A majority of my interest in fashion is completely voyeuristic. I like the campaigns and watching runway shows. I think that’s the part that actually inspires me. I paid about $8 total for everything I’m wearing, and in the summer you usually find me in an old ill-fitting tank top and cutoffs. And I usually stink because I can’t find the only natural deodorant that works on me in the Pacific NW. I probably wouldn’t actually spend the money (if I had it, cos I don’t) on most of this stuff, aside from shoes and jackets, and yes probably bags. Anyway, I like the styling of Topman‘s ‘Wilderness’ collection from their A/W 2009 lookbook, so I thought I’d share (after the jump).

Jay Reatard – Watch Me Fall

| August 21st, 2009

A pretty solid album that seems to be getting a lot of attention. Less intense than Blood Visions, but superty duperty catchy. Crisp but not tooooo crisp. Whether you like this record or not, it will be stuck on loop in your head. I’ve been listening to it a lot. www.jayreatard.com

Mishka Fall 2009 Lookbook

| August 20th, 2009

Usually I don’t get all the hype behind urban streetwear or whatever the fuck you wanna categorize this stuff as. But I gotta say, I haven’t seen much by Mishka (NYC) that I don’t like. They have a keen eye and understand style. I love flipping through their lookbooks each season. I think this is their most wearable collection yet. It’s a breath of fresh air in a genre that’s inundated with gold rainbow barf and big-tittied painted whores in hooker heels. Screenshots of their lookbook after the jump.

New Resin Toy WiP

| August 19th, 2009

Since this project is probably a decent way off from being finished, I thought I would post this for extra motivation to keep working on it. This is my first peg-jointed resin figure I’m working on. He probably looks a bit similar to Danny and Brute Toy in pictures, but there is more detail in the sculpting and the proportions are different. The plan is to have removable/interchangeable head and arms. His body is almost finished as well. He will be 9″ tall. No name until the first one is painted. Wish me luck, lots of new techniques to experiment with on this one.

He came and went. This is the version of Danny offered to everyone who’s signed up for my newsletter. Each box is hand drawn. Sales ended at midnight tonight. Thank you so very much to everyone who was able to grab one! They will be shipping over the next few weeks!

Free Twitter Logos

Sorry to geek out on you for a minute. Okay, so I’ve had to trace the Twitter logo way too many times because I haven’t found a good one online anywhere. So I’ve done it one last time. It’s based off a couple of different fonts, then tweaked over the logo. So it’s a pretty good match, almost identical. I’m giving them away for free because I know how much of a headache it is to find stuff like this. It’s available in both vector and raster. The Adobe Photoshop file has Vector Smart Objects, so you can size them however you like. Let me know if you guys like these, I might upload more for other social networking sites.
