My custom Hoophy, a collaboration with Shin Tanaka, is revealed today! It’s a paper toy that you can print at home and assemble yourself. Other artists for Hoophy include David Flores, Superdeux, David Horvath (Uglydolls), Skwak, Jon Burgerman, and Travis Lampe. Many thanks to Shin to inviting me to participate in this awesome series!
As of now, Charlie is almost sold out and I wanted to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for your support – the bloggers, re-tweeters, and especially the collectors. I can never say it enough — THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I have new stuff lined up for 2010 and am looking forward to an exciting year!
Abstract expressionism usually ain’t my thang, but Lisa Solberg‘s work caught my eye on Booooooom (permalink). Girl knows how to use her some color. Want one for every room in my shanty mansion.
Here’s the current tally for Charlie. Still haven’t decided which one will be the second variant. Might try and squeeze in a few more customs before the release later this week!
I meant to post this ages ago but I think I was neglecting this blog at the time. Yeah, more European computer music, but I do think you can tell when the effort has been put in. I like the guy’s voice and think the album will be pretty solid.
One of my all-time favorite bandaroonies. Can’t wait for their new album, they always keep it fresh and interesting. I met them once in North Carolina when they had like 17 people in the band, and they are super sweeties.
Hi, I'm Jon Knox.
I live in Portland. I make toys and clothes for a living, and I have a mutt named Robbie. This blog is a combo of my artwork and other random things that inspire me. Think of it as a moodboard in blog format.
