Brute Jonny

Okay yeah sometimes it’s hard not to describe things with just Oh my GOD OH MY GODDDDDDD AAAAAHHHHHHH, but seriously JESUS CRISP this figure is one amazing piece of work. It’s by Graphic Airlines (produced and manufactured by G999). I can’t afford it (yet, anyway. It costs about $130 I think.), but I’m gonna find a way. Graphic Airlines has always been one of my favorite illustrating teams, and they’re always finding new ways to impress folks with super-weird and super-cool characters. Check plus plus!!

Since this project is probably a decent way off from being finished, I thought I would post this for extra motivation to keep working on it. This is my first peg-jointed resin figure I’m working on. He probably looks a bit similar to Danny and Brute Toy in pictures, but there is more detail in the sculpting and the proportions are different. The plan is to have removable/interchangeable head and arms. His body is almost finished as well. He will be 9″ tall. No name until the first one is painted. Wish me luck, lots of new techniques to experiment with on this one.

This is sort of a token post for Bobby version 2. He went on sale yesterday (but is now sold out). I meant to post here beforehand, but things have been so hectic ahh!!! Many many thanks to everyone that’s giving him a new home! Orders should ship out sometime next week. Thanks again everyone!
