Favorite Shoes

I’ll never tell which brand they are, cos it could potentially be embarrassing. I would’ve designed the soles differently, but I still like em. I found them in a bargain shoe store in SF that was going out of business.

21 bucks.

Yeah, I’m a fan of a dressed-down dressy shoe. I blogged about the American Apparel Hartwick Skimmer Shoe earlier in the year, but have yet to see a pair in the flesh. I still stand by them ‘cos I think they’d look even better all scuffed up. They’re maybe not quite as top notch as the Göthberg shoe by Whyred, but they are a hell of a lot cheaper. $97 vs $480. I still prefer to dig through bargain bins at discount shoe stores. Of course you can always find a similar pair of shoes at the local Goodwill if you aren’t scared of tinea.

I got my first pair of Chucks since high school today. As you can tell from the pic, Robbie thinks they’re too mainstream, but he’s a douche.

Another “goddamnit it sucks to be poor” pair of shoes. Spring/Summer 2009 ankle boots by Marc Jacobs. Available at The Corner if you have $440 bucks to drop on shoes. If you do, I think they’re tooooootally worth it. I’m trying to find an affordable alternative. Paylessssssss? Nooooooooooo

Okay, yeah these are out of the question for most people (If my converter is correct, they will cost you well over $700), but they’re reaaaally cool nonetheless. Available at Honeyee, if you’re made of money. [click here]

Okay, so I wouldn’t wear these, but you have to admit they’re awesome. Many of the best designs are ones that make you go “Why didn’t I think of that?”

Though Vans are most popular with skaters (I don’t skate, I really suck at it), I wear their shoes. The Vans Vault has previews of all their upcoming shoes, but these two are the ones I’d consider getting.

I almost bought these shoes today, but didn’t. Maybe I should’ve. I’m into lapis.

I can’t explain it. My eyes tell me these shoes are hideous but my brain tells me I love them. Maybe they’re so ugly they busted on through to the other side. Nike Blazer

I can’t explain it. My eyes tell me these shoes are hideous but my brain tells me I love them. Maybe they’re so ugly they busted on through to the other side. Either way, this Nike Pendleton Blazer is on sale here at Urban Outfitters (marked down about 30 bucks, to a still slightly unaffordable $119.99). I think they’d look awesome with shorts.
